Overview
Timmons Group provided surveying, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and construction administration services for the Pantops expansion at Westminster Canterbury of the Blue Ridge (WCBR), a continuing care retirement community.
The new Pantops development was spurred by the growing demands for high caliber retirement living in the area. It includes 36 apartments with seven, light-filled floor plans with fully-equipped, high-end kitchens. Residents enjoy airy screened porches with views of WCBR’s nature preserve and Carter’s Mountain, home to the historic Monticello. Also included in the project is a modern, two-level, 16,000 square foot fitness center to expand the facility’s wellness and fitness programs. Amenities include a theater, new indoor pool, a walking/jogging track overlooking the pool, increased space for cardio and strength training, an internet cafe, and outdoor patios and terraces. Secure, underground parking is also available.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held in November 2012 and construction was completed in summer 2014.
