Overview
The West Broad Village project is a commercial mixed-use development located in the Short Pump area of Henrico County with a total development of 900 residential units, 78,000 sq. ft. of restaurant use, 360,000 sq. ft. of retail space, 740,000 sq. ft. of commercial space and a 430 room hotel. The West Broad Village water system connects to the Henrico County Public Water System at three separate locations and a water model was compiled to determine waterline sizes and the available pressures and fire flows for the various types of buildings and uses. During the different phases of construction, Timmons Group performed hydrant tests with the assistance of the Henrico Department of Public Utilities and Fire Department to verify available fire flow on-site to obtain building occupancy permits.
