Overview
New Kent County received a 140-acre parcel from a private donation and contracted Timmons Group to deliver land planning advice. Our team determined the topography throughout the site was steep, however we produced four land planning alternatives allowing New Kent County to maintain control over the development of their property, but with proper analysis to make well informed decisions. Working together New Kent, we created a business park that included walking trails that provides an environment that is conducive to business and pleasant for employees. We successfully negotiated a development agreement with a private developer for the County that included a land swap that helped the County’s plans for this Park come to fruition.
Our firm also assisted New Kent County find tenants for the park by using the Rapid Site Program and working with Baskervill Architects to create renderings that attract businesses to the Park. The positive relationship that developed during this project has led to New Kent’s trust in our firm and they have since contracted Timmons Group for similar projects in the County.
