Overview
Tech Center is a high-tech office research park in Newport News adjacent to the Jefferson Lab particle physics complex and designed in conjunction with the proposed expansion of the continuous electron particle accelerator facility. The plan will provide for nearly 1 million square feet of office, research, and support commercial space. The project is geared toward incubating entrepreneurial enterprises, businesses of all sizes, and corporate spin-offs.
Timmons Group was responsible for assisting with final master plan approval, coordinating with the City of Newport News on project infrastructure, and preparing individual site plans for phased future office development. Timmons Group has also been involved in the Marketplace at Tech Center and Venture Apartments phases.
Timmons Group has provided master planning, site/civil engineering, and transportation planning services for the development of this project as well as surveying, environmental services, stormwater management plans, landscape design, roadway and traffic signal improvements, utility engineering, and the preparation of construction documents.
