Overview
Timmons Group, with Worley Associates and the City of Richmond, Virginia Parks, and Recreation, completed Phase 1 of the Southside Community Center renovation, which was formerly an underused church space. A traditionally overlooked neighborhood of Richmond, the Southside area previously did not have an abundance of recreational resources for its residents. After its revitalization, the center will once again become a hub to bring locals together in a safe community space. All three phases of the project will amount to $22M, and the skate park and multipurpose athletic field were the first to be completed.
