Overview
Timmons Group team conducted a Phase IA archaeological resource assessment (Phase IA) for the ±548-hectare (±1,354-acre) Skylight Solar project area. The assessment aimed to confirm existing conditions, identify surface evidence of cultural activity, and inform recommended survey methods for the project area. The study followed the North Carolina Office of State Archaeology (OSA) Archaeological Investigation Standards and Guidelines (November 2023). The project area consists of contiguous parcels in Nash County along Taylor’s Gin Road (Route 1310) and Wildlife Road.
