Overview
For 63 years the Richmond Redevelopment Housing Authority has been involved with community development in the Richmond area. RRHA provides affordable housing and community development services. In May 2009 an RRHA property in Glipen Court that was over 50 years old experienced a structural failure. Timmons Group geotechnical staff was on site the next day to assist structural engineers and Richmond City Building Inspectors with the failure analysis. As a follow up, the Timmons Group geotechnical staff conducted soil borings, test pit and soil analysis to determine what, if any, component of the structural failure was geotechnical related.
