Overview
Completed in May 2011, Lakota Mitigation Bank was developed as a full delivery mitigation project. Historically utilized for livestock and hay production, the 142-acre site was developed as a stream mitigation bank which would sustainably coexist with the onsite livestock farming operation.
Project Highlights
- 6,000+ linear feet of stream channel restoration, enhancement, and buffer enhancement
- 30 acres of stream riparian buffer corridor entered into permanent conservation
- Designed and developed to support continued agricultural use outside of conserved bank areas
- Lakota Phase II currently in development and coming soon
