Overview
Timmons Group played a large role in the redevelopment of Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, North Carolina. As students returned to campus at N.C. State University, they were once again be greeted with changes on Hillsborough Street, which parallels the edge of the university’s main campus. Over $350 million worth of investment has poured into Hillsborough Street over the past decade with millions more planned in the future.
Timmons Group is proud to have provided civil engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture services for several of these developments, which primarily include off-campus housing for the Wolfpack students. The projects include over 250,000 square feet of space with over 225 apartment units spread across multiple structures. The projects include the following. 105 Friendly Drive
Timmons Group is providing civil engineering, landscape architecture, and surveying services for a new five-story, luxury student apartment building on Hillsborough Street adjacent to the campus of NC State University. The 16-unit structure will have rooms for 49 residences and about 3,800 square feet of retail space. Timmons Group worked closely with City of Raleigh staff during the review and approval process in order to get the project successfully permitted.
2811 Hillsborough Street
Timmons Group provided civil engineering services for a new student housing facility adjacent to the campus of NC State University. The 30,000 square-foot, four-story features 30 apartment units with 3,000 square-feet of retail space on the first floor. Timmons Group worked closely with City of Raleigh staff during the review and approval process in order to get the project successfully permitted.
2604 Hillsborough Street
Timmons Group provided civil engineering services for a four-story, student housing building directly across the street from the NC State University campus. The 18,500 square-foot project features 15 apartment units with a Saxby’s Coffee on the first floor. Timmons Group worked closely with City of Raleigh staff during the review and approval process in order to get the project successfully permitted.
1301 Hillsborough Street
Timmons Group provided civil engineering services for a new student housing facility adjacent to the campus of NC State University. The 32,000 square-foot, four-story building features 38 apartment units over 3,700 square feet of retail space. Timmons Group worked closely with City of Raleigh staff during the review and approval process in order to get the project successfully permitted.
2304 Hillsborough Street
Timmons Group is providing civil engineering and landscape architecture services for a new student apartment building on Hillsborough Street adjacent to the campus of NC State University. The 31,000 square-foot building features 12 apartment units with 10,000 square feet of retail on the first floor. Timmons Group worked closely with City of Raleigh staff during the review and approval process in order to get the project successfully permitted.
109 Park
Timmons Group provided civil engineering services for a new student housing facility adjacent to the campus of NC State University. The 105,000 square-foot, four-story features 87 apartment units. Timmons Group worked closely with City of Raleigh staff during the review and approval process in order to get the project successfully permitted.
