Overview
Timmons is providing professional services for the City of Charlottesville for infrastructure improvement at the intersection of Barracks Road and Emmet Street. The infrastructure improvements will include bicycle and pedestrian improvements, improvements to existing transit facilities, and general intersection upgrades. The project will incorporate improvements to all phases and functionality of the intersection. Right turn lanes will be added to the northbound Emmet Street (Route 29) corridor and westbound Barracks Road which will entail the relocation of one traffic signal pole and the acquisition of right-of-way.
