Overview
The purpose of this project was to renovate the existing azalea pond in Joseph Bryan Park in the City of Richmond by means of dredging the pond and repairing the existing fountain feature. The azalea pond is approximately 1 acre and surrounded by gorgeous azalea plants in the park. The entire pond area had silted in creating an existing marsh area with water depths of less than a foot in most areas. The vegetation was so overgrown; you couldn’t even tell it was a pond. Timmons Group evaluated options for removal of the sediment re-grading of the pond and repair of the existing fountain feature.
