Overview
Timmons Group assisted the project’s energy developer on this greenfield project located about 70 miles northwest of Indianapolis, IN. The civil engineering support included transportation planning, public road improvements, 30%, 75%, 100% and IFC plan sets, multiple project walkdowns between civil plan set iterations, facilities grading plans, permitting support for DOT, Army Corp, state, and county permitting, construction phase support and turbine constructability investigation. Timmons Group also provided construction staking for the project under contract with the EPC contractor. The site had moderate slopes and required a plan and profile for both public and private roads as well as individual pad grading for turbine sites in difficult terrain. The project consisted or 72 Vestas V150-4.2MW turbines with a capacity of 302 MW.
