Timmons Group provided civil design, geotechnical studies, topographic and underground utility survey, stormwater inspections, construction administration, and permitting services for Spotsylvania County Public School System’s football field conversion to synthetic turf for Massaponax High School.

Timmons Group teamed with Leading Design and Development Sports (LDD Sports), who provided design and specifications for the turf field system.

Natural grass fields are traditionally difficult to maintain with the amount of use they endure with high school sports. The turf field allows for more use, especially in wet conditions.

Timmons Group began working on the project design in fall of 2018 and the project was completed in spring of 2020. The turf field installment currently supports the school’s 2,000- student population and will continue to benefit students for many years to come.
