Overview
Timmons Group provided civil engineering services for the design and construction of a 21,840 SF, single-story, enlisted personnel mess hall at Camp Lejeune.
The facility received LEED Platinum certification and is the first LEED Platinum certification for Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and one of only eight LEED Platinum Dining Facilities nationwide. Support facilities include: site lighting; paved parking and roadways; sidewalks; storage shed; miscellaneous concrete pads; a stormwater management system; clearing, grubbing and earthwork; access roads; landscaping; building and roadway signage and site utility distribution systems.
The project confirms to UFC 4-722-01 Dining Facilities, UFC 4-010-01 Anti-Terrorism/Force Projection standards and follows LEED and Low Impact Development and Federal Energy Acts compliance criteria for design.
