Overview
Cavalier Senior Apartments is an affordable senior living community with 80 units. The community consists of one and two-bedroom units, in addition to a community space with a meeting area, a computer room, an arts and crafts room, an exercise room, laundry facility, gazebo, and raised garden beds. The apartments also provide education, social, and wellness programs.
The facility is Earthcraft Platinum Certified and was built using low income housing tax credits administered by the Virginia Housing and Development Authority.
Timmons Group provided survey, geotech, phase 1 environmental site assessment, wetland delineation, site plans, Cavalier road design, stormwater management, and a landscape and irrigation plan.
The community also features a food pantry through the partnership of local food banks who provide dry good, fresh produce, meats, and vegetables.
