Overview
600 Canal Place is downtown Richmond’s newest 20-story building occupying a full city block and is home to Dominion Energy. Designed to LEED Gold Standards, the tower offers sweeping views of the City skyline and the James River and includes ground floor retail, recruitment center, credit union and offices for over 1,000 employees.
The project consists of an approximately one million square feet glass and steel tower and was designed with a curved form as an interpretation of a sail. LEED initiatives included a one-acre green rooftop, sustainable materials, high-efficiency building systems and high-performance exterior enclosure.
Timmons Group provided design survey, laser scanning, subsurface utility location, geotechnical engineering, hazardous materials surveys, cultural resources investigation, Phase I environmental site assessment, traffic analysis, traffic signal design, site and utility design, construction stakeout, construction administration and as-built surveys for this project.
