Publix Super Markets has opened its first store in the state of Virginia at the Nuckols Place shopping center, developed by Fairfax-based Peterson Companies. In addition to the Nuckols Place Publix pictured above, Publix has future plans to open several more stores in the Richmond region. This Florida-based grocery chain is known for their cleanliness, fresh-store-prepared foods, and staff helpfulness.
Timmons Group’s private land development team was contracted directly with Peterson Companies to provide a full array of land development services including site engineering, landscaping and irrigation; pedestrian accessibility plan; and site surveying. Freeman Morgan Architects performed the project architecture and L.F. Jennings was the general contractor for the project.
Timmons Group was happy to partner with Peterson Companies, Publix, and the rest of the design team to bring the center to its grand opening in July 2017.
