Overview
In 2022, Ontex, a leading international supplier of personal care products, celebrated the opening of its first production facility in the United States. Located in the South Rockingham Industrial Park in Rockingham County, North Carolina, the 250,000-square-foot facility serves as a key milestone for Ontex’s expansion into the U.S. market. This modern manufacturing facility produces a range of personal care products for babies, women, and adults, and is expected to create up to 350 jobs, significantly contributing to the local economy.
Timmons Group partnered with Carroll Industrial Development U.S. to deliver comprehensive site and civil engineering services for the Ontex building and an adjacent 176,000-square-foot speculative building across North Carolina Highway 65 (NC 65). Our team provided survey, civil design, and construction administration services to ensure the project’s success. The facility was designed with scalability in mind, incorporating a 250,000-square-foot expansion area along with parking and truck courts to support future growth.
