Overview
The project consists of the design and construction of a concurrently maintainable, 60 MW technical high-performance computing center (data center) located at Fort Meade, Maryland. Basic ancillary supporting design and construction services include excavation and grading, roadways, basic utility infrastructure, electrical service (primary power and temporary construction power), water, sewer, and communications infrastructure that were extended from designated demarcation points. The facility itself consists of approximately 70,000 SF of mission critical equipment space and features several energy and water saving strategies. The facility will be accredited LEED Silver under the most current rating scheme available.
Timmons Group provided civil engineering, survey, landscape architecture and construction administration services. We also supervised the permitting activities of a third party permit expediter for the required Maryland Department of the Environment approvals.
