Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation Brooklyn Park Athletic Campus
Timmons Group worked with Lewis Contractors on the newly completed sports complex, prioritizing safety, accessibility, and community impact. The athletic campus includes a synthetic turf field with sports lighting, a 400-meter track, tennis and basketball courts, and other amenities to support diverse athletic activities.
Additionally, the underground water detention system was designed to reduce runoff to the surrounding established communities. This complex project required careful consideration of the adjacent, fully operational Brooklyn Middle School, ensuring that ongoing activities were not disrupted during construction.
Ellicott Gardens 2
Located in Ellicott City, Maryland, Ellicott Gardens 2 is a four-story affordable housing community with 70 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. Timmons Group partnered with Harkins Builders on the recently constructed building that welcomed its first residents in June 2023.
This project required unique solutions to overcome significant topographic challenges, accommodate unique stormwater detention requirements, and provide pedestrian and vehicular compatibility with the adjacent Ellicott Gardens I, previously engineered by Vogel Engineering.
