Timmons Group was honored to be named the WTS Central Virginia Firm of the Year.
For more than 30 years, Timmons Group has ranked on the Top 500 Design Firms by Engineering News-Record (ENR).
We are proud to have received the Gold Safety Award from Highwire in recognition of our safety program.
Our geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing (CMT) practice earned several accreditations from AASHTO, including one for Thermal Resistivity of Soil—a distinction held by only a handful of laboratories in the U.S.
Project Achievements
Taylor Farm Park received the Teens’ Choice Award at the Historic Richmond Golden Hammers, reflecting its positive impact on the community.
James A. Buzzard River Education Center was honored with the Golden Hammer Award for Best Placemaking and Urban Design, highlighting its role in connecting the community to the James River.
The Faison Center Master Plan earned the Inclusive Vision Award from Historic Richmond, celebrating its commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
The City of Round Rock, Texas, won the Trimble Infinity Excellence Award for improving efficiency, collaboration, and customer communications. By implementing Trimble Inc.’s Cityworks platform and Timmons Group’s CommUNITY Portal, the city successfully streamlined its permitting and asset management workflows.
Ryan Resilience Lab
The Ryan Resilience Lab in Norfolk was recognized by ENR MidAtlantic with the Excellence in Sustainability Award for Office/Retail/Mixed-Use, recognizing the project’s sustainability strategy, choice of materials, and energy savings.
Kingsmill Community Master Plan won a Merit Award in Analysis and Planning from the ASLA Virginia Chapter, representing a thoughtful and collaborative effort with the Kingsmill community to create a long-term plan for the area.
Ellicott Gardens 2 received the Excellence in Construction Platinum Award from Greater Baltimore ABC. This four-story affordable housing community with 70 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments welcomed its first residents in June 2023.
St. Johns County, Florida, won the Trimble Infinity Trailblazer award. Timmons Group helped the County expand their GIS by further developing support targeted at increasing overall productivity, developing information, integrating systems, limiting duplicate work processes, and creating a platform for community buy-in.
The Purcellville Group House was recognized with the Signatures of Loudoun Award for its thoughtful and contextual design.
The Legacy at Twin Rivers in Columbia, Maryland, was awarded the ULI Baltimore Wavemaker Award, recognizing the remarkable transformation of the former Roslyn Rise into a thriving, vibrant community.
The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation Brooklyn Park Athletic Campus earned the Excellence in Construction Award from Greater Baltimore ABC for its community-centered design and features.
People Accomplishments
Kaitlyn Jenkins was named Member of the Year by the WTS Central Virginia Chapter.
Kaitlyn’s expertise in roadway and hydraulic design, utility coordination, storm sewer systems, and pedestrian accommodations has contributed to the success of various VDOT and local projects. Her involvement with WTS demonstrates her dedication to both professional and personal growth, as well as her commitment to advancing women in the transportation industry.
Neal Beasley was honored with the Environmental Steward Award by the Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association (VNLA)!
Neal is one of the few individuals who is a practicing Landscape Architect, Certified Horticulturist, and Certified Arborist. As a long-standing VNLA board member, Neal has been instrumental in modernizing the Virginia Certified Horticulturist Exam process and representing the VNLA on a statewide task force addressing invasive species management and legislation.
