Picture This: Main2525 Apartments

Main2525 is comprised of 216 apartment units on 7,500 SF of commercial space fronting East Main Street near Shockoe Bottom and Church Hill. The complex’s unique attributes have garnered attention from many locals, including those who have been avid investors of the neighborhood’s revitalization.

The $40M project was financed by Virginia Housing and features indoor bicycle storage, a 240-space parking deck, a rooftop terrace, and a resident lounge with skyline views. Designed with the active Richmonder in mind, the community sits adjacent to the River and puts residents within walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores, and the Virginia Capital Trail.

The site’s redevelopment included the design of a half block and required special use permitting. The design also included an easement along the adjacent courtyard to ensure access to unit windows for residents along an abutting property.
