It was one for the barks! I mean… books! Our 8th annual Take Your Dog to Work Day was a doggone hit, and we’re here to share the proof. This year’s event was celebrated by many (over 30 doggos and their humans, to be exact). It was a treat getting our furry friends together in the office for puppy play dates galore!
Principal Ivan Wu and his sweet girl Yoshi visited lots of four-legged friends as they pushed the treat cart around the office.
And we were able to collect monetary and in-kind donations for Goochland Pet Lovers again this year!
HR pro Dalton Gormus and her shy pup Hank got the hang of making new friends at this year’s event!
Principal Tim Klabunde’s new addition Lacy was able to join the gang for a quick hangout sesh!
Principal Jeff Smeraldo’s pup Pepper was on the hunt forone of her favorite humans in our Land Development division.
Stormwater PE I Jessica Slagle and Bella made several new friends throughout the day!

We were even joined by our friends Erica and Jack from Goochland Pet Lovers!
This year’s event was a woofin’ good time! We can’t wait to celebrate next year!
In the meantime, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be joining Goochland Pet Lovers as a sponsor for their annual Oyster Roast again this year! The 5th Annual Oyster Roast will provide a place for animal lovers to join together in a night of cocktails and fabulous cuisine as they engage in a silent auction, live music, a bourbon and wine pull, and a paddle raise all in the benefit of helping our local furry friends find their furever homes! The Oyster Roast has raised over $200,000 for the animals of Goochland County throughout the years.
