Picture This: Circle K Onslow County, NC

The completed Circle K gas station in Onslow County, North Carolina was a 1.94-acre raw land site. It now features a 4,351 sf Convenience Store, 27 parking stalls, a 10 MPD double-stacked canopy, and 3 USTs.

Timmons Group assisted with private utility coordination for sewer treatment; ALTA survey needs; subdivision and recombination plats; right-of-way abandonment coordination; pump station design; underground stormwater control measure design; NCDEQ erosion control; and NCDOT traffic impacts, TIP coordination, driveway permits, and 3-party encroachment permits.

ONWASA waterline replacement plans and utility permitting were also included in Timmons Group’s involvement. We were also able to obtain Onslow County site plan approval, as-builts, and coordination for the canopy, petroleum, arch, lighting, and irrigation.

We successfully argued the position that a sediment basin would not work on-site during construction since it would fall in the location of the bore pit and the underground storm system. This reduced construction costs and prevented the basin from being constructed 3 times. We coordinated with NCDOT on 2 separate overlapping TIP projects which impacted the site layout. Overall, this project required 19 months of entitlement. The project was completed in October 2019.
