Land Development

Avalaire is North Raleigh, North Carolina’s premier housing community, which includes 56 homes spanning over 100 acres of land near the intersection of Durant Road and Honeycutt Road. Phase 1 construction wrapped up in early 2017 and sales opened to individual homeowners. With home prices starting at $1 million, the community was the first of its kind to come to North Raleigh in more than seven years.

“The attention to detail involved with every phase of development really emphasizes Avalaire’s dedication to luxury,” said Jim Chandler, Senior Project Manager for Timmons Group. “Residents of Avalaire will enjoy country-style living while being minutes away from the attractions of Downtown Raleigh.”

Throughout 2017, Timmons Group’s Raleigh office had been involved in surveying for the site, in addition to basic infrastructure, such as the roadway improvements, stormwater management design, septic analysis, design and layout, and the distribution network for a private AQUA water system. Due to the community being inspired by nature, featuring century-old oak trees, park like settings, and trails adjacent to the City’s Natural Greenway Trails, Timmons Group’s designs required mindfulness of the preservation of existing heritage trees where practical.

The project was awarded “Best Marketing, Advertising or Branding Project for a Community” at the North Carolina Home Builders Association’s Annual STARS Awards Gala.

The team of master home builders includes Arthur Rutenberg Homes, Bost Custom Homes, Homestead Building Company, KJ Construction, Loyd Builders, LLC, Mike Young Homes, Phil Miller, Robuck Design Build, and Rufty Homes.
