It feels like JUST yesterday school got out for the summer.
As families and their children begin back to school shopping for the new year ahead, many students in Chesterfield County, VA will be the first to attend the brand-new Beulah Elementary School as it will open just in time for classes. Sitting on 28.1 acres, this new elementary school will employ 70 workers who will help educate the young minds of the growing population in Chesterfield County.
After being in math, science, or social studies class in the new building, students will be able to experience many fun-filled outdoor activities during recess such as softball or kickball on the baseball fields or climbing and playing on several mulch and pavement playgrounds with friends and classmates. Students can also get together on teams and play a game of soccer on the large grass field.
After 18 months of construction, the new school will be finished at the end of July. Workers are currently on the site seven days a week putting the finishing touches on the playgrounds, landscaping, surface asphalt, and concrete to ensure that the school will be open and ready to take on eager, new students for the school year. Upon completion of the elementary school, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony in the first week of August to celebrate the grand opening.
This project wouldn’t have come together like it has if it had not been for the services Timmons Group provided. Some of the services included surveying, landscape design, traffic analysis and design of turn lanes, bidding assistance, and construction administration.
Unique Fact: Beulah Elementary School is the first of multiple elementary schools in the area that will be built based on the same building prototype.
